I am a professor of literacy studies at the University of Nevada, Reno. I teach courses in early literacy, literacy and diversity, and qualitative research. I have recently served as the Editor of Reading Research Quarterly, a research journal that focuses on literacy. In addition to teaching and research, I have the privilege to work with teachers seeking National Board certification.
