All economics WEB sections utilize a THINKWELL course website
to facilitate student assessment and learning.

"INTRODUCTION TO ECONOMICS" IS A COMPREHENSIVE COURSE REQUIRING:

  • SEVERAL HOURS EACH WEEK APPLIED TO VIEWING THE MULTI-MEDIA MATERIALS
  • VERY GOOD CRITICAL READING, VIEWING, AND THINKING SKILLS
  • GOOD UNDERSTANDING OF ALGEBRA AND GEOMETRY
  • GOOD COMPUTER LITERACY SKILLS

  • IMPORTANT!!!  You need to have good math skills in algebra and geometry for these classes


     
    AOL USERS REQUIRE ADAPTIVE PROCEDURES TO SUCCESSFULLY INTERFACE WITH THE THINKWELL WEB SITE.
    • If you are using AOL, you should minimize the entire AOL panel and bring up Internet Explorer separately when accessing the THINKWELL web site. Also, cache and web site refresh settings may have to be adjusted on your browser.


    "Introduction To Economics" Course Basic Description

    THIS COURSE WAS DESIGNED FOR NON-BUSINESS DEGREE MAJORS ONLY.

    THIS COURSE DOES TRANSFER TO UNR AND UNLV.

    THIS COURSE DOES NOT SATISFY THE ECONOMICS COURSE REQUIREMENTS AT WNC FOR ANY OF THE BUSINESS OR TECHNICAL DEGREES.

    The Introduction To Economics course consists of 17 chapters having 131 tutorial modules, each tutorial with its own exercise accessable on the course web site.  You must complete all 131 exercises to fully complete the course.  Your final grade is based upon the cumulative points earned for all 131 exercises compared to the total possible points for the course, expressed as one final percentage score.

    This is a cumulative point grading system.  There is one point for every question in each exercise of each website unit tutorial in the course.

    The course web site fully outlines all the units and accompanying modules with streaming audio/video in its syllabus for each course.  Each module has downloadable printable notes and transcripts on the web site to assist you.
    You have until the end of the course, which is saturday12/17/2011, to complete the exercises. The web site closes at that time.

    It contains detailed step-by-step instructions on how to use the general features available on many Thinkwell websites. It can be a helpful reference document.

    Macro and Micro Economics Courses' Basic Description

    The Macroeconomics course consists of 9 chapters having about 127 tutorial modules, each tutorial with its own exercise accessable on the course web site.  You must complete all 127 exercises to fully complete the course.  Your final grade is based upon the cumulative points earned for all 127 exercises compared to the total possible points for the course, expressed as one final percentage score.
