EC/ODE holds a business meeting at least twice each fall and spring semester, to plan out our activities and to elect officers for the following semester.  We also sponsor a series of speakers and events of interest to students of economics, and get-togethers for faculty and students.

Our next events are:

Wednesday, February 21:  We have a club meeting at noon in AB 209, everyone is invited.

Wednesday, February 28:  Wim Houwink will give a talk entitled, "Thoughts that I'm dealing with."  Professor Houwink is a former chair of the UNR economics department, and currently teaches at the Beijing University of International Business and Economics in China.  AB 107, from 12:00-12:50.

Monday, March 5:  Bill O'Driscoll, a reporter from the Reno Gazette Journal who has been covering issues related to utility deregulation and rate increases, will be speaking at 5:30 P.M. in Scrugham Engineering Mines room 234.

April 3:  EC/ODE has 2 open seats for an Etiquette Dinner, which will be held in the JTSU auditorium on . This is a great opportunity for all students to attend.  This is a profesisonal dinner that will show you proper etiquette during a business dinner.

Sometime in April:  EC/ODE is planning a trip to the Federal Reserve Bank in San Francisco and/or Chicago.
