Economics Club / Omicron Delta Epsilon
International Honor Society
in Economics

Alpha Chapter of Nevada

The faculty and students of the Department of Economics and the Department of Applied Economics and Statistics at the University of Nevada, Reno invite you to participate in the activities of EC/ODE, the Economics Club / Omicron Delta Epsilon!

  • Resumes -- EC/ODE has begun an online student resume page for the Department of Economics.  If you are an economics major, minor, or club member, send us your resume!

  •
  • Meetings and Events -- Check this regularly to find out about our next interesting event.  Yes, Virginia, there is such a thing as a free lunch!

  •
  • Links -- What can you do with an economics degree?  Where can you find data?  These links are good sources of information.

  •
  • Jokes-- Believe it or not, economists actually have a sense of humor.  The fact that they forecast GDP growth to the tenth of a percentage point proves it.

  •
  • What is ODE?   This will tell you about the economics honor society.

  •
  • What is the Economics Club?  How is it different from ODE?  What are we looking for?

  •
  • Subscribing -- Do you want to be part of the EC/ODE e-mail list?  If you are currently in your own account, you can send a message to the majordomo automated list manager.  The title of the message is unimportant, but the text should say only:
      • subscribe ecode

OR, if it doesn't recognize your address:

        subscribe ecode firstname lastname <email@address>
If it works, you should get a quick response back from the majordomo computer program.
  • Officers-- Are you interested in serving as an EC/ODE officer?

  •
  • Bylaws -- The official rules of EC/ODE.

  •
  • Our faculty sponsors are Dr. Mark Nichols and Mr. Ted Oleson.
