A very long time ago, in a land not so far away, there lived |
a Rishi (spiritual individual) who became the recipient of a |

rejuvenating formula. This very Rishi was disturbed one day, |
|
from his meditation, by a group of girls coming to bathe in the |
|
river near where he was sitting. He happened to see one of |
|
the girls, the daughter of the king, prepare for her bath. As |
|
was the custom of that time, he became immediately |
bethrothed to this young woman - a result of his inappropriate glance. Admitting to himself that he was wise, |
but elderly, he begged a favor of the gods that his virility be restored so that he could bring happiness and |
many children to the marriage. He was given Rasayana Prash, a formula used to bring wisdom while |
restoring vitality and providing rejuvenation. |
